b1- concept and direction for year book pitch

The group group for the year book proposal is with Will Duffy and Paul Brandeth. The concept was to show the progression throughout the course, focussing on making each designer's work speak for itself, demonstrating that each member of the year was ready to go into the professional design industry.

We agreed that a colour scheme was necessary for the year book as it would add some character to the publication but not bring the attention away from the work itself. For the colour we picked a neutral green C- 88, M- 24, Y, K- 10.

To show that each designer is individual we wanted to take profile photos that captured the various different designers working in their own design environment making there skills recognisable.

Paul went about using the photos to create the layout using a simple layout that we discussed that situated the information and page heading in one of the four corners, allowing for a lot of variations to be produced depending on the art work and profile shots.
